re6st leverages existing local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) to ensure that network edges benefit from best possible connectivity at any time
re6st is a resilient overlay networking system designed for enterprise and government. It protects networks from outages caused by force majeure incidents. It is an essential component for public and private clouds which are hosted on multiple sites.
Fault Tolerance
re6st provides fault tolerance for multi-site IT networks. re6st can achieve network availability with better results than service level agreements (SLA) available on the market. In case of force majeure event such as natural disaster, routing artefact or intrusion, re6st design achieves sigma 6 connectivity even if 60% of its edges are down.
Optimized Routing
re6st can implement routing policies which optimize throughput, latency, etc. depending on application requirements. Low latency is for example required for voice over IP (VOIP) applications whereas throughput is required for video or file sharing.
Mesh Topology
re6st optimized routing technology shares similarities with peer-to-peer (P2P) technologies such as Skype, PPStream or bittorrent. re6st initializes a mesh of direct routes between selected edges in a network. It leverages the mesh to create indirect routes between all edges. Thanks to babel (RFC 6126) distance vector routing protocol, the best route is always selected to interconnect edges.
Network Aggregation
re6st provides network resiliency over untrusted connectivity
re6st can aggregate multiple network providers and increase either bandwidth or availability. It can be used for example to aggregate DSL, Wimax, 4G or FTTH providers and build a high performance, high availability access to a data center without investing in dedicated infrastructure.

Cloud Federation
re6st enables the deployment of a single addressing space over multiple clouds and data centers. It guarantees best possible connectivity at any time between all servers and virtual machines. Thanks to re6st and open source technologies such as SlapOS (www.slapos.org), government and enterprise can implement reliable Cloud Federation with limited effort.
Native IPv6
re6st is based on IPv6. It offers a simple path for enterprise and governments to adopt IPv6 without changing existing IPv4 infrastructure or applications. Thanks to automated IPv6 global address allocation, it can scale up to very large networks and guarantee interoperability with other organizations.
Success Cases
re6st has been deployed to interconnect all servers of VIFIB, a decentralized cloud computing provider. It is used by the Ministry of Interior of Ivory Coast to deploy fault tolerant IPv6 in its datacenters and aggregate multiple ADSL and Wimax links from different telecommunication providers.
Open Source
re6st is open source software. Its source code is fully auditable and thus exempt of secret back doors. It is compatible with Linux, Windows and Android operating systems.
