Rapid.Space default network virtualization is based on an IPv6 hybrid mesh network with latency optimization. Combined with filtering, it is in our opinion sufficient to cover about any need with better performance and scalability than Layer-2 approaches.
Rapid.Space IPv6 segments can be deployed within Rapid.Space infrastructure (VPS, CDN, Big Data, etc.) but also on other public clouds or on customer premises.
If some applications requires Layer-2 networking virtualization, it is possible to deploy open source virtual switches such as openvswitch, inside Rapid.Space VPS, and interconnect them over Rapid.Space's IPv6 backbone.
