This section aims to help everyone interested in using ERP5. It will show
how to setup an ERP5 instance on a virtual machine, how to configure this instance,
and how to add business templates giving you an environment to evaluate and work.
ERP5 Virtual Machine Setup
The best way to try ERP5 is to use an ERP5 Virtual Machine which you can setup
by yourself. The process is well described in the
OSOE online course. The how to setup
a virtual machine running ERP5 involves only a few steps to setup a virtual
ERP5 instance for you to start working.
The
how to get started with the user interface tutorial will explain the basic
navigation patterns within ERP5 to give you a first idea of what you can do.
Configure Your Instance
ERP5 comes with a tool called configurator which allows you to select predefined
configurations and automatically add them on to your instance. Have a look at
how to configure ERP5 for small businesses using the configurator for a step
by step guide to add a predefined configuration to your instance.
Install Additional Templates
You can also follow the how to install
business templates to extend your instance with any of the available
business templates/applications.
Once you have a working and configured instance, head over to the
OSOE page to run through some basic tutorials. They can also be found on the
documentation for
users and
consultants.
