Once received your ordered VM (Register and Order a VM), there are still some little configuration steps required to be completed by you on your VM and on your local so that you will be able to access the VM properly for your own utility.

Step 1: Install Operating System

An operating system is always needed on the VM.

If you want to install Linux operating system, please follow the steps in Install Operating System.

If you want to install Window operating system, please follow the steps in Install Windows OS

Step 2: Configure IPv6 for the VM to achieve remote access

All Rapid.Space machines are provided with IPv6 network, you will need to complete certain configuration steps to make your VM accessible remotely.

If you are using Linux operating system on the VM, please follow the steps in Install IPv6 inside the VM

If you are using Windows operating system on the VM, please continue with the steps in Install Windows OS

Step 3: Set up local IPv6 in order to achieve remote access

In order to access your VM with IPv6 from your local, you will need IPv6 locally as well.  If you already have IPv6 network locally, please ignore this step. If not, we are providing two solutions here for different occasions:

Solution 1: Get IPv6 On Your PC (Suggested)

A simple way to install IPv6 on your personal machine(Linux, Windows or Mac), so that this particular machine can use IPv6 and access Rapid.Space services. Please follow steps in Install IPv6 On Your PC to do the set up.

Solution 2: Get A Local IPv6 Network (Advanced)

Get a local IPv6 network by setting up a Raspberry Pi with Re6stnet and its token, all your devices under this network can enjoy IPv6 and access Rapid.Space services. Please follow steps in Get A Local IPv6 Network to do the set up.

Once the above three steps are done, congratulations! Now you can enjoy using your VM freely.
